Why? I can ban IP addresses and IP address ranges to combat spam. Furthermore, I can provide your IP address to law enforcement should you choose to write a comment containing something illegal.

How long? As long as your comment stays published on my website.

Who can see it? Only me.

Optional storage of your chosen synonym and/or your email address

What? Your chosen synonym and/or email address should you choose to provide this information when commenting.

Why? Your synonym can be used to make it easier to identify comments referring to each other. Your email address can be used to contact you via email.

How long? As long as your comment stays published on my website.

Who can see it? Everyone reading your comment.

How long? As long as your comment is published on my website. If you want to remove your comment from my website, you can only do so if you provided an email address when writing it. If you did, you can write me an email (to admin@redneptun.net) from the email account you provided and ask for the deletion of your comment. You are not entitled to have your comment deleted, though.
